Michael Hohenstein, Founder

Born and raised in McAllen, Texas, United States of America, Michael Hohenstein is a Rio Grande Valley native and possesses over ten years’ experience in law. Michael’s family descendants are European and Mexican. Michael is fluent in Spanish and has family in Veracruz, Mex

Michael’s passion for law developed while working with the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) in Houston. That opportunity gave him the perspective to help people in need and those affected by social injustices that still continue to affect communities alike throughout this country and abroad.

Michael provides proactive advice and counsel to his clients both before issues arise and especially when times are difficult. Michael is not an Oil and Gas attorney and but is licensed only to practice state law in New Mexico and was a Landman in Texas before becoming an attorney.

After earning his law degree in Arizona, Michael relentlessly serves his community with hopes of helping every community member to realize their American dream. Prior to starting his own firm, Michael worked under the Judicial Branch of Arizona for Maricopa County Superior Court, Family Division.

Education

CollegeMichael attended University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (formerly University of Texas-Pan American) but transferred to and later received his undergraduate degree from Saint Edward’s University, Austin, Texas in 2006 earning a double major in both International Business (B.I.B. ) and Business Administration (B.B.A. ) in addition to a minor in Latin American Studies.

Following his graduation, Micheal received his Paralegal Certification from the Center for Advanced Legal Studies in Houston, Texas in 2008.  Prior to entering law school, he gained valuable experience by volunteering with the United States District Court Southern District of Texas, McAllen division, for then Chief Justice, Honorable Ricardo H Hinojosa. In 2014, while in Law School, Michael completed his Judicial Extern Clerkship for Judge Hinojosa.

Hobbies

When he isn’t working, Michael enjoys spending time with his dog and his family BBQing, playing golf, fishing, or hiking with friends.
